Please call our emergency line if you find yourself with:
- No central heating (during winter months only)
- No electricity (unless a power cut or consumer unit can be re-set)
- A plumbing leak that can cause damage to the property.
Our advice for tackling a leak:
- If the leak is on a wash basin, WC or appliance then you should isolate the water if possible.

- If the leak can’t be contained as detailed above, you should turn off the water supply to your house using the stop cock. This is the gold-coloured tap that can usually be found under your sink. Turn clockwise until the stop cock feels fairly tight, then turn on a tap in your house (where safe to do so) and let the remaining water in the system drain down.
You should ring Southdale during office hours and report the fault or call the emergency contact number if the problem occurs outside of office hours.
